During four full days (from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 April) and with more than 45 hours of program, the “XXI DAYS ON THE WOLF IN THE SIERRA DE LA CULEBRA” deepen ecology, threats, conservation, in the lobera culture and in the wolf management models.
A great opportunity to meet and observe the wolf in the wild-with the highest standards of respect and the hand of biology professionals with two decades of experience in the species and in a territory of reference for the wolf: the northwest of Zamora .

The program of activities includes a visit to the livestock of Rosa González and Alberto Fernández, professional breeders who manage their herd of 1,500 sheep with the help of 12 Spanish mastiffs in one of the areas with the highest density of wolves in the Iberian Peninsula; his work shows that coexistence between predators and humans is possible.
With terrestrial telescopes and from high places with good visibility, there are five waits (three at dawn and two at sunset) to observe the wolf and the different species of fauna of the Sierra de la Culebra. In all cases, the waits are made with the highest standards of respect for the wolf, putting in all cases the welfare and complete tranquility of this species.
A guided tour of the Cortello de Lubián (an imposing hunting structure used until the middle of the 20th century to capture living wolves), will make us understand a little more the historical relations between wolves and men in the northwest of Zamora. It is important to highlight the exclusivity of these traps, distributed in very few places, such as the Iberian north and the Transhimalaic region of India.
The days also include a large workshop to learn and interpret the signs of the presence of the vertebrates of the northwest of Zamora and another on the prey of the wolf (the deer, the roe deer, the wild boar and the mountain goat, among others), all of them thematic of enormous interest to any naturalist or professional.
A complete program, designed, refined and directed by professionals specialized in the wolf. The success in the previous editions, endorses us for these new days. We are waiting for you!
